Welcome to the PHP User Group West Midlands website!

This is the home for a group in the West Midlands who discuss and assist each other in the use PHP and PHP related technologies such as MySQL, Linux, Apache, XAMPP and more.

Next Meeting : 13th July 2006

Marcus Baker will be giving two interesting talks :

  • “The OO sound barrier”: The confusion when encountering objects, both
individually and within the wider community, and what we should do about it.
  • “Is agile right for you?”: A pretty advanced talk on project management.
The different methodology angles are explained and a sense making
framework (yer’ what?) is applied to determine their applicability.

Both will be approximately 50 minutes long - the second is likely to be somewhat interactive.

The event kicks off at 7pm, 13th July 2006 at OpenAdvantage, Broad Street, Birmingham. There should be a buffet provided, and a pub visit afterwards.
